Do what you love, love what you do.

If I looked back to a young Joe Clayton as he graduated from LaSalle College in the spring of 1979, he would be extremely happy to see how his life turned out. Yes, I have been fortunate to realize many of my dreams. 

Many of those dreams that came true were being in sales, handling advertising, developing a marketing department, mentoring individuals, working at a fantastic company, being able to lead that fantastic company and having a great family. But wait, how did this all happen in what feels like a blink of the eye?

Where Do You Find Inspiration?

We all draw on inspiration from different resources. Religion, people, experiences and literature are just a few. Over time I have looked at ifferent sayings and quotes to keep me going. For years, I carried a small plastic card in my wallet I had purchased as a college student. Printed on it was the saying, “When the going gets tough, the tough get going.” Very simple. To the point. When our lives are going along smoothly, that’s easy, but when we are handed unwanted issues or fruit like lemons, we need to make lemonade. Oops, another one of those sayings…
